Welcome to Dzimi Sokcevic's blog.
With the following reports and pictures, I would like to introduce you to my world!
My blog is structured chronologically and was started about four years ago (2021). The idea came from people around me. My friends, mentors, and my psychologist, in particular, encouraged me to share my experiences from my life and my illness.
I have to reschedule my final stage V/V of the Way of St. James (Camino) to spring/summer 2026.

In addition, I have presented suggestions on how to set your weight (92 kg reduction goal) to optimal weight.
I'll also introduce my illness, Schizophrenia. With this, I hope to motivate my fellow sufferers to draw inspiration from my successes and perhaps follow a similar path. (The Camino of life! 😉 )
I hope you enjoy reading and viewing my blog!

The most common question I personally get about the Way of St. James is:
"Where does the Way of St. James start?" my honest answer: "On your doorstep!" Forget globetrotting, possibly flying or skydiving: The Way of St. James can be the ultimate challenge in many ways! Only take the bare essentials with you (5 variants of the necessary clothes, money for 3 months & a bottle of water to refill)!
I still have 200 km to go, and I don't regret a single Euro I've spent or a blister on my foot (I've already run about 2.500 km).
On the gate of the "Jakobuskirche in Rüdesheim", it is written: - Lead a God-fearing lifestyle during your pilgrimage - Let this saying become your motto, too!
...on the climb of the Pyrenees (Camino Reload II/V), there were fellow competitors (on the side of the path) who motivated us (runners) with the words: "BUEN CAMINO!" When I stayed overnight in St. Jean de Port (starting point Pyrenees), The hotel owner also said in full proud: "BUEN CAMINO!" At that time, I weighed around 170kg…;-) but I was in shape thanks to my job (mobile service) at Deutsche Bahn. In addition, the boots on the way to Lourdes (Camino Reload I/V) were used and I didn't get blisters anymore !
Efforts and exertions are worth it! This rewarding view of Ponferrada was created in stage 4 of 5. Many ascents and descents under rocky paths took their toll on my physical condition that day! (Autumn 2024, stage 4 of 5)
The Camino, Spanish for Way of St. James, is just before Frómista with a daily record of 42 km. Summer 2023 (stage 3 of 5)
The Way of St. James just before Pamplona in summer 2022. (stage 2 of 5)
Start of the route in 2021 (reload of 2008) from Avignon to Lourdes (France) (stage 1 of 5)
Dzimi's current favorite photo from the Camino so far. The picture was taken around Santo Domingo-Calzada in Spain during Stage 3 (2023).
