„For an algorithm, an error is something that must be corrected; for a human being, it can be the beginning of a profound transformation. The future of a human being is not predictable. It is entrusted to their freedom, elevated by God's inexhaustible grace, and to the relationships they cultivate. (Para. 128 Encyclical Magnifica humanitas; Pope Leo XIV.)
Welcome to Dzimi Sokcevic's blog.
With the following reports and pictures, I would like to introduce you to my world!
My blog is structured chronologically and was started around 2021. The idea for it came from my social circle. My friends, companions, and especially my psychologist encouraged me to share my experiences from my life and my illness.
The blog's focus is my illness schizophrenia, my Camino de Santiago, pilgrimage in general and my life! (Dzimi's World!) 😉
Dzimi Sokcevic on May 14 (Ascension Day) 2026, at 5:15 PM, in front of the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela after 18 years in stages and 3,000 kilometers walked, starting from Trier (Germany).
I'm here!
The choral (YouTube) is my prayer of thanks to the Holy Virgin Mary (Mother of God) for my recovery over the years, my job, and my safe arrival in Santiago de Compostela (2008 – 2026).
I would like to motivate my fellow sufferers to, to take inspiration from my successes and, if necessary, to create a to follow a similar path. (The Camino of life! 😉 )
I hope you enjoy reading and viewing my blog!

Pater Noster - Our Father, the prayer of Christians
The most common question I personally get about the Way of St. James is:
"Where does the Way of St. James start?" my honest answer: "On your doorstep!" Forget globetrotting, possibly flying or skydiving: The Way of St. James can be the ultimate challenge in many ways! Only take the bare essentials with you (5 variants of the necessary clothes, money for 3 months & a bottle of water to refill)!
On the gate of the "Jakobuskirche in Rüdesheim", it is written: - Lead a God-fearing lifestyle during your pilgrimage - Let this saying become your motto, too!
...on the climb of the Pyrenees (Camino Reload II/V), there were fellow competitors (on the side of the path) who motivated us (runners) with the words: "BUEN CAMINO!" When I stayed overnight in St. Jean de Port (starting point Pyrenees), The hotel owner also said in full proud: "BUEN CAMINO!" At that time, I weighed around 170kg…;-) but I was in shape thanks to my job (mobile service) at Deutsche Bahn. In addition, the boots on the way to Lourdes (Camino Reload I/V) were used and I didn't get blisters anymore !
Dzimi's current favorite photo from the Camino de Santiago so far. The picture was taken near Villafranca del Bierzo in Spain on Stage 5 (2026). Shortly before the Tower of Forgiveness Church for Indulgence of Premature Remission for Illness
For me, the most beautiful sermon I have ever heard:
Solemnity of the Apparition of the Lord - Sermon by Archbishop Rainer Cardinal Woelki in Cologne Cathedral
"To know what an anchor is, we need the storm." - Corrie ten Boom -
